For development and IT teams

Insight Engine (code)

Full AI context over the systems your team maintains — so the knowledge lives in the repository instead of in the two people who have been here longest.

It starts by knowing what you have

We start every engagement by mapping what you actually have — every application, every dependency, every datasource that turned out to matter, whether it was never documented or the documentation went stale years ago.

A legacy estate map: three legacy applications feeding a SQL Server database, a CRM and a set of business-rules stored procedures, which in turn feed quoting, scheduling, financials and the bug/task tracker.Order EntryWinFormsCustomer PortalASP.NET WebFormsBatch ReportsAS400 + scheduled jobsSQL Serverquotes, orders, schedulesBusiness Rulesstored proceduresCRMcustomer recordsQuotingcustomer-facingSchedulingshop floorFinancialsGL exportBug / Task TrackerJira, ADO, etc.Legacy applicationsData and business rulesWhat the business depends on
On an engagement we identify the code and data surfaces you care about and connect them to your tooling.

What your team gets

Context over the whole estate

Codebase, architecture, database schema and the legacy screens nobody documented. Read once, kept current, available to every developer and to the tools they use.

Documented for humans and for AI

The same material serves a new hire on day one and an agent on every ticket. Written down once, in a form both can use.

Answer data questions directly

Read-only access to live data, so production-support questions get answered without a developer writing a one-off query and hoping.

Repeatable skills

Twenty to forty defined tasks — reviews, reports, routine changes — that run the same way every time rather than depending on who picked up the ticket.

Where this leads

Impact Engine is the follow-on phase, once this one is complete: the agent stops just answering questions and starts making changes.

Phase 1 · This page

Insight Engine

Full AI context over your codebase, architecture and source systems. Phase 2 requires it.

  • Architecture, apps and code documented for humans and AI
  • Query live data to answer process and production-support questions
  • 20–40 repeatable skills: reviews, reports, and minor changes
Phase 2 · Requires Insight Engine

Impact Engine

The delivery layer: a sandbox the agent can build and test in, CI/CD, and backlog integration. This is where the 2×–10× on real changes comes from.

  • Sandbox build-and-test harness the agent can run unattended
  • Backlog integration: read and write tickets, branch and PR conventions
  • A regression safety net for your top business-critical workflows

Measured, not asserted

Before we start, we take a baseline: how long a representative ticket takes to get from opened to merged. At the end we take it again, the same way, with your people driving. The number is the deliverable — not our opinion about how it went.

We are candid that this measurement practice is newer than the rest of the method. We would rather tell you that than present it as a decade of proven practice.

Where it usually starts

One system, four to eight weeks, a fixed price agreed up front. Enough to prove the approach on something real before anyone commits to the rest of the estate.
